What is a Foot Solutions foot consultation?
What will happen?
Every podiatry assessment lasts for 30 minutes. The podiatrist will ask initial questions about your feet - the state of your feet, your lifestyle, your footwear, prior injuries and your habits. Depending on the issue, the consultation will either be an assessment or treatment.
The podiatrist will run a detailed assessment of your feet which can include a bio mechanical assessment, dermatological assessment, blood flow & blood pressure etc. At the end of the assessment, you will receive advice and be prescribed treatment or exercises if required.
What do I bring?
It is important that you bring in any prior health records and X-rays relation to feet or diabetes. If you have been prescribed orthotics in the past, it is essential that you bring your previous pair with you into the assessment.
Existing patients with prescribed orthotics are also required to bring this to the consultation. If you have private health insurance with podiatry cover, your health insurance card is also required to assist in paying for your treatment costs.
Are you a doctor?
